All eTRIP Projects
Electronic Traffic Information Processing (eTRIP) Initiative
There are many projects that support the mission and goals of the eTRIP Initiative.
The following menu items provide more details on these efforts, and link to their respective pages:
- Foundational Projects of eTRIP
- The projects in this category were originally created to address business needs outside the scope of eTRIP. These projects successfully established critical foundations upon which other eTRIP projects would build.
- eTRIP Technology Infrastructure Projects
- These projects specifically relate to the establishment of the infrastructure necessary to collect and process electronic tickets and collision reports. These projects are those most often associated with the actual “implementation” of the eTRIP Initiative.
- Law Enforcement Officer User Base Projects
- These projects provide an initial group of law enforcement officers the hardware necessary to participate in eTRIP. While these projects are not related to establishment of technology infrastructure, they provide a sufficient law enforcement user base to ensure an acceptable return on resources invested by partnering agencies.
- Long-term Enhancements Projects
- These projects are long-term enhancements that build upon the initial success of eTRIP. These enhancements create additional efficiencies by electronically collecting and processing other traffic-related information.
