eTRIP Operations Governance Team

Electronic Traffic Information Processing (eTRIP)Initiative

The eTRIP Operations Governance Team operates as a permanent subcommittee under the authority of the Washington Traffic Records Committee. The Team is comprised of two separate bodies, the Executive Leadership Team and the Business/Technical Managers Team.



Executive Leadership Team

The Executive Leadership Team provides policy oversight and program direction in the implementation, maintenance, update, and enhancement of eTRIP throughout Washington State. Executive Leadership Team responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide a policy level stakeholder forum for review and discussion of proposed eTRIP Initiative/SECTOR application operating changes and enhancements.
  • Provide policy oversight and program direction for the governance, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the eTRIP Initiative.
  • Provide executive sponsorship and oversight in the planning, coordination, and implementation of eTRIP Initiative/SECTOR application enhancement projects.
  • Review and take action on strategic, project, or legislative recommendations provided by the Business/Technical Managers Team.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Washington Traffic Records Oversight Council and the Washington Integrated Justice Information Board.
  • Propose, review, and adopt funding proposals and cost sharing initiatives that support the goals of the eTRIP initiative.


Business/Technical Managers Team

The Business/Technical Managers Team functions as the primary lead for all issues regarding the implementation, maintenance, update, and enhancement of eTRIP throughout Washington State. Business/Technical Managers Team responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide Business/Technical leadership in the governance, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the eTRIP Initiative.
  • Provide a business and technical stakeholder forum for review and discussion of proposed eTRIP Initiative/SECTOR application operating changes and enhancements.
  • Provide administrative and technical guidance in the planning, coordination, and implementation of eTRIP Initiative/SECTOR application enhancement projects.
  • Review and take action on collective and/or agency-specific strategic or legislative recommendations for presentation to the Executive Leadership Team for final consideration.
  • Identify, document, and present relevant information on topics requiring consideration and decision by the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Identify and track performance measure benchmarks and targets to evaluate the effectiveness of various eTRIP-related processes.
  • Evaluate new technologies and potential implications for the eTRIP Initiative.
