Electronic Traffic Information Processing (sTRIP) Initiative

SECTOR, an electronic ticket and collision reporting application, is the result of several years of planning and development by law enforcement and state and local agencies. SECTOR utilizes state-of-the-art technology and incorporates all standards and requirements as established by the Legislature, the Uniform Citation Committee, and the Police Traffic Collision Report. A multi-agency team ensures that it continues to meet established business needs and legal requirements.

Since the production release of SECTOR, thousands of tickets and collision reports have been successfully created and transmitted to the appropriate agencies. The development and successful implementation of SECTOR has created a robust solution that can be shared at no cost to all Washington State law enforcement agencies. The capabilities of SECTOR will continue to expand with a number of enhancement projects already in progress.
