Traffic Records Oversight Council
Council members
Enhancing the structure and activities of the
Washington Traffic Records Committee is one of seven major objectives
identified in the multi-year strategic plan. Primary among the strategies
to accomplish this objective is the establishment of an executive
level body to provide policy and program oversight.
Under
direction of the Governor's Office, on October 12, 2004, the Traffic
Records Oversight Council held its inaugural meeting. Executives
representing state and local interests discussed their role in establishing
a successful traffic records program in Washington.
The Council endorsed the following guidelines regarding their responsibilities:
- Provide policy oversight and program direction in
creating strategies for improving Washington’s traffic records
system.
- Ensure Traffic Records Committee project recommendations
are in alignment with individual agency priorities.
- Establish a cooperative forum of executive level
management.
